A Local Desperado
Based on real events in 1856, 3 thieves head for America after breaking into a Stately home. On the run from the Police, Rebecca, her Husband, Charles, and her brother, William, make for Liverpool and a new life with the little they have with them.
A Local Desperado premiered at Barnsley's 400 seat Picturehouse, Yorkshire in August. A fitting place as the real events took place there. Looks great on the large screen; well received.
Shot in 9 locations in Hull and Barnsley, in full victorian costume over 6 days. Everyone involved giving 110%. Some very cold locations, some very solid gravestones, some minor setbacks, some brilliant costumes, some tired people. After some delays the rough edit now finished. The main site will be uip and running soon with more detailed info. Now in the process of final edits and music. PLan to be ready for late July. Here's the trailer.
End of April - we have finished the pick ups in Pickering and Grosmont station. The guards were very helpful, on the whole. Some walking across the moors for Nathan and Lucy. Got the shots of running around the grounds of the stately home with some pretty disgruntelled groundsmen chasing us.
Beginning of May and we're half way through rough edit and looking pretty good. Possible Brass Band for some of the music which would be great. Production photographs to follow.
